GCSE/iGCSE Marking
Completing practice exam papers is a highly effective form of revision, but when it comes to History, the mark schemes can be almost impossible to decipher yourself. Unlike in subjects where there is a clear right or wrong answer, marking history papers accurately requires training and an expert eye.
This is why I am offering pupils the chance to have their practice exam papers marked by an experienced GCSE examiner, complete with comprehensive written feedback to allow access to the very top marks.
In my years of examiner experience, I have learnt the difference between a full marks and ‘just okay’ answer, which is often very subtle.
Once you have purchased the marking you wish to have completed, please email your practice exams to contact@ebradley.co.uk and you will receive your feedback within 48 hours.
Comments on my marking from the 2025 examiner team leader for Edexcel GCSE History:
Early Elizabethan England
Communication was excellent throughout. Your marking...validity scores exceeded 90%. This responsiveness was much appreciated and demonstrated your commitment to maintaining high standards. Your examiner report was submitted promptly and provided valuable insight into candidate performance. The inclusion of clear examples of strengths and weaknesses was especially helpful and will inform both the Principal Examiner"s Report and future INSET training.
Weimar and Nazi Germany
Particularly high consistency on questions 2a and 3b/c, where validity (accuracy) exceeded 90%. This responsiveness was appreciated and demonstrated a strong commitment to high standards. The examiner report was submitted promptly and provided valuable insight into candidate performance.
