About Me

Hi,

I’m Elisha, I am a Learning and Development Advisor who currently specialises in Apprenticeships. I have previously worked in a number of other roles across Learning and Development, formal teaching and museum education.

In 2018 I graduated from Oxford University with a PGCE in Secondary History. I was lucky enough to be able to study in one of the best education departments in the world and was exposed to some of the most current research and understanding in education. This gave me a really strong knowledge of how we learn and how to apply learning theories into my classroom.

After several years of teaching in both the UK and abroad, I decided to move away from the formal classroom and into Learning and Development. I have since worked in a range of L&D roles across different organisations.

In 2024 I began studying towards the CIPD L5 Learning and Development Consultant/Business Partner Apprenticeship, which has developed my knowledge of learning in a professional context and the commercial context of L&D.

Whilst on my professional journey through the learning and education sectors, I was also diagnosed with both ADHD and Dyscalculia. My own neurodiverse experience has in many ways formed part of my own learning and is something reflected in the way I work and the topics about which I choose to write.
