Safeguarding

Safeguarding is of incredibly high importance at E Bradley Tuition. Looking after your child’s best interest is a key part of what I do, so that both you and they can feel safe and secure in the tuition environment.

DBS Checked

I have an up to date DBS check which can be viewed on request

I will:

  • Never enter into 1-1 correspondence with your child without a parent or guardian copied in to all messages. This included email, text, social media and any other forms of communication.

  • Never promise to keep a secret for your child, nor ask them to keep secrets for me.

  • Never share inappropriate personal details with your child, or encourage them to share inappropriate personal details with your child.

  • Never physically touch your child except in instances this is deemed completely necessary (i.e. providing emergency first aid)

  • Keep parents or guardians regularly informed of the pupil’s progress and any concerns.

  • Keep a positive attitude towards the pupil and encourage them with kindness. I will never shout at your child or act in any way towards them which could damage their confidence or self esteem.

  • Inform your child’s school or the relevant authority if I have any serious concerns of abuse or other safeguarding concern.

I ask you to:

  • Be present in the room or very close by with your child while tutoring is taking place. You should ideally be able to see and hear everything that takes place. This applies to both in person and online sessions.

  • Keep all correspondence professional and respectful.

  • Encourage your child positively, even when they are struggling.

  • Encourage your child to complete any homework tasks to the best of their ability.
